What our cast members have to say…
“The people involved with KAT, the set creators, behind the scenes crew and obviously the cast are all nothing short of being an absolute dream to work with from day one.”
— Tim (played George in Of Mice and Men)
“Acting with such a talented group of youngsters (and a sprinkling of fellow oldies) has been great fun – it’s good to know that the future of theatre in Wellington is assured!”
— David (played Judge Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer)
“Being in a show with such heavy themes requires a lot of trust to exist among the cast, and the need for some levity and humour injections to lighten the mood. I want to thank the cast for the oft-times hilarious conversations, and Tanya for allowing us the space and time to recover in those moments.”
— Julie (played Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire)
“It's My Party is my second production since returning to the stage after an eight-year hiatus, and it has certainly rekindled my passion for the craft. This is attributable to the wonderful cast and crew who have made this experience truly enjoyable!”
— Jonathan (played Michael in It’s My Party And I’ll Die If I Want To)
What our audience members have to say…
“Hats off to Khandallah Arts Theatre for a first-rate production of "Zero Inn". The set (which is worth seeing in its own right) and the technical support are excellent and the cast delivered some wonderful performances. If you fancy a piece of theatre which is sure to make you think, head over to Cochran Hall this week and next.”
— David (after seeing Zero Inn)
“I write to tell yourself and anyone and all who were part of the Streetcar production that it was absolutely terrific. So difficult and so very well done. From Blanche to the street vendor, everyone was great. So, so hard! And so, so well done. Thanks a million.”
— Barry (after seeing A Streetcar Named Desire)
“Great collection of short plays tonight, everyone should be very proud of their work. We pondered and laughed and enjoyed the journey each wee play took us on. Get down to see this, definitely worth a night out.”
— Wendy (after seeing A Potpourri of Plays)
“Great work, everyone! The brilliant collaborative essence of theatre is alive and well! Congratulations, KAT!”
