I Think I Can

Nine-year-old Becky is suffering from “an acute case of I-don’t-knowsies” with a touch of “Don’t-ask-me-seys”, complicated by “I-don’t-think-I-can-do-it-itis”.

With laughs, songs, nonsense and encouragement from the audience, the Professor (a cat) and two other madly peculiar creatures put her through a series of magical adventures – by the end of which, she has of course been cured of all three ailments.

This delightful play for children directed by Archana Sahani, with musical arrangements and direction by Megan Davies, was written by Kathryn Schultz Miller and Barry Miller, with melodies composed by Bruce Bowdon.

How it works

No bookings, no tickets, just a koha of your choice (eftpos available) when you arrive at Khandallah Park. Bring a picnic rug (seating is on the ground) and sunscreen.

If it’s wet or too windy that day’s performances will be in Cochran Hall, 106 Cashmere Ave – see our Facebook page on the day if you are unsure. Change of venue notification will be posted at 11 am.

Getting there

Ignore Google Maps – it often sends people to the wrong entrance to Khandallah Park. The correct entrance is at the end of Woodmancote Rd. Walk up past the pool, then alongside the stream and you’ll find us on the picnics and games lawn.

Parking close by is limited and the walk takes a few minutes, so arrive in plenty of time.
