The Martha Syndrome by Scott Marshall (UK), directed by Liz Ebrey

Billed as a thriller, this tightly scripted play doesn’t reveal the truth until very near the end, but is it only about “who did what”?

queen b by Pip Hall (NZ), directed by Megan Davies

In the introduction to the published script Pip Hall wrote that this, one of her earliest plays, was inspired by “the idea that women might only be valued for their ability to reproduce”.

How to book

When you click on ‘Book now!’ (here, at the top of the page, or below), you’ll go directly to our listing on the iTICKET website. If you don’t already have an account with iTICKET you’ll need to create one by filling in their registration form.

When you have booked, iTICKET will email your ticket/s to you. Bring these to the performance. Because Cochran Hall is in one of Wellington’s notorious internet-fragile spots, we advise that you bring a paper copy or download the ticket onto your phone before you leave home.

Door sales

If a performance is not sold out through bookings, door sales are available from 30 minutes before a performance starts.

EFTPOS purchases are possible but, because internet service is somewhat unreliable in our Cashmere Avenue dead spot, you may find it less frustrating if you bring cash.

Block bookings

If you are organising a party of 10 or more, book early to be sure that seats are available.

If you make this booking through us instead of iTICKET, the organiser’s ticket is free. Email us at katbookings@gmail.com, for details as soon as you start planning your block booking. The bookings manager will ring you to discuss your payment and confirmation options.

Refreshments

We have wine, orange juice, snacks and lollies for sale at the theatre from half an hour before the performance begins and during the interval. You can pay for these by EFTPOS but cash is quicker and more reliable. On opening night, we offer a free glass of wine/juice and nibbles.

Parking

There’s free parking in the surrounding streets but you may have to park some distance from the venue, so give yourself plenty of time.

Mobility access

There is parking for people with limited mobility on the hall forecourt. The entrance is between the hall and the pedestrian crossing. Access to the hall from the forecourt includes a ramp.
